The Will of Samuel HANDLEYThis is the last will of me Samuel Handley of Silt Road Littleport in the Isle of Ely in the County of Cambridge, Farm Labourer. Whereas I revoke all my former testamentary dispositions and appoint Joseph Jones of Littleport Bridge, Blacksmith and Frederick Andrew Davies, 2 Granby Street Littleport, Jeweller, my executors.I bequeath to my daughter Mrs. Dolliday the sum of Ten shillings to be paid to her one month after my death. I bequeath to my son, Herbert Handley, my silver verge watch and gold albert also my gun for his absolute use. And I direct my Executors to sell my furniture and effects of which I stand possessed of at the time of my death and out of the proceeds of such sale to pay my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the residue if any to be placed in the Bank with my other monies . And I direct my executors to equally divide the monies in the Post Office Bank and Capital and Counties Bank at Ely between my Ten children Alfred Handley, Samuel Handley, Herbert Handley, Arthur William Handley, Sarah Weilden, Mary Ann Molt, Rachel Norman, Kate Rack (Flack) , Ruth Baron, Alice Maud Handley. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of September one thousand nine hundred and eight. Signed by the said testator and acknowledged as and for his last will in the presence of us who present at the same time in his presence at his request and in the presence of one another have herewith set our names as witnesses.
