The Will of William HAYLOCK
This is the last Will and Testament of me William Haylock of Ely in the Isle of Ely and County of Cambridge Yeoman made this ninth Day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifteen as follows (that is to say) I give and bequeath unto my Niece Ann Mantle the Daughter of William Mantle of Ely aforesaid Bricklayer the Sum of ten pounds to and for her own Use and benefit Also I give and bequeath unto my Sister Sarah Mantle of Ely aforesaid Widow All and singular my Household Furniture and Implements of Household Plate Linen and Glass and also all the residue of my ready Money and Securities for Money Debts and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever to and for her own absolute use and benefit she paying thereout all my just debts and funeral and Testamentary Charges and Expences And I hereby constitute and appoint my said Sister Sarah Mantle sole Executrix of this my Will and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written The Mark and Seal X (Seal) of William Haylock Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said William Haylock the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses John Hills Junr. John Phelps of Ely.
January 6th 1817 Effects sworn under £100. Proved by the Oath of Sarah Mantle the sole Executrix above named Before the Revd. John Griffith Clk. Surr. &c.
